Which will include new storage and warehousing facilities, offices and meeting spaces as well as a brand new cellar door.
Salena Estate Wines, is currently in the process of undergoing a $10 million upgrade and expansion to their warehouse and cellar door. The expanded warehousing facilities will include 3,000sqm of undercover additional storage and a new workspace for the maintenance department. The new Cellar Door will allow visitors to come in and taste all that Salena Estate has to offer as well as having food available on the weekends. This space will also be able to hold functions up to 120 people stand up and 70 guests seated. Finally, new offices and meeting room spaces for the increased number of overseas clients. The works started in October 2017 and are expecting completion in mid-2018. In addition to the new space, new equipment such as a de-palletiser machine and labeller have been added to the existing bottling line in order to increase speed and quality as well as providing better efficiencies for their customers.
Outside of the sheds a new dedicated grape pressing area has been expanded which has allowed our press capacity to over double in capacity and also includes our first screw press.
Bob Franchitto, owner and Managing Director of Salena Estate Wines stated, “As our business has grown rapidly over the last few years we have needed new facilities to accommodate for the increased amount of business.” With staff having tripled during that time to 60 employees, and branching into several new international markets, it’s little wonder Salena Estate are undertaking such major developments. This expansion will occupy some of the 500 acres of land that are owned and operated by Salena Estate Wines.
