Cucina 837 Update

How time flies.

WOW, we can’t believe its already been 5 months since we opened. October feels like a lifetime ago, yet it feels like yesterday as well. We spent 2019 just trying to stay afloat, we were overwhelmed by the number of people, local and tourists alike, who came out to support us not once, but several times during our first few months. We had countless nights where were fully booked with long waitlists and nights where it felt like the entire Riverland walked in for dinner. Really, we just want to say a massive thank-you to everyone who has walked through our doors, we hope you left full and happy.

 

2020 has seen as get some stability back, with the festive season behind us, we made the most of the last of the holidays with Daiquiri January and games out on the lawn to ease into the new year.

           

 

February saw us look to the amazing gin’s made across SA with KIS Mulberry Gin and Applewood Distillery Strawberry Gum Gin and the two favourites.

           

 

March has been all about prohibition with 1920’s cocktails. While its too soon to tell which have been the top pics, we’ve had quite a few people working their way through the list. We really embraced mad march, the kitchen was jealous that the bar was getting all the attention and they wanted some, so March also had 2 all you can eat pizza night and pasta night. We had carb-loaders galore come in and make the most of them. ALSO, in case that wasn’t enough, we have our first ever Pizza Making Day planned for 28th March. We’ve had so much support for this that we are completely booked out! But don’t worry if you missed out, I’ve heard along the grapevine that there will be more masterclasses coming to you this year from Cucina 837.
