Just as we finished unpacking our suitcases thinking we were going to get a little rest, we checked our calendar’s again and realised we had to hit the ground running.
In usual Adelaide fashion, we had both our events for April fall on the same weekend.
We had our first Adelaide Annual Warehouse Sale, which was a massive success; we had people knocking on the door before we had even opened. The Nova Casanova’s stopped in on Saturday afternoon with games and prizes for everyone and one lucky lady even walked away with a bottle of BFR! We had everything from every day drinking through to premium wines available for tasting and sale, we were flat out from open until close. With all hands on deck, we had almost 400 cases out the door over the 2 days, it’s safe to say people loved the savings available.
We had the George Street Piazza hosted by the Norwood Payneham and St Peters Council, which was setup like an Italian Piazza with all Italian food and wine available. Tyrone was even interviewed in the “Discorsi in Cucina” or “Kitchen Talks” and by all accounts had the audience in stitches. Even though the weather was against us, a great day was still had by all.
This was followed by a trip to Chicago for the annual World Wine Meetings at the beginning of May. We sent over our powerhouse sales team, Managing Director; Bob Franchitto, General Manager of Sales and Marketing; Tim Moen and Global Sales Manager; Bob Powell. After three extensive days of meetings, the boys were keen to come home after a short yet tiering trip.
Finally, the last few months have been full of Wine Awards and Tastings, we have submitted over 30 wines to various shows across South Australia so it will be exciting to see what comes of them.
After a very busy first six months of 2018, the team is excited to give their passports a small rest while the winery jumps into full expansion construction mode. Stay tunes for an updated on its progress.
